The Flickering Fountain, currently looking for it’s home, is an exquisite fountain of light with overtones of a flower. This fountain will be 10 feet tall and 8 feet in diameter at its base, and use sharp geometry throughout the structure. The piece will incorporate large amounts of mirror, and iridescent plexiglass allowing visual interplay between the fountain, the sky, the viewer, and the surrounding environment. The Flickering Fountain will also incorporate classical painting and an extensive, user-controlled lighitng package that makes the whole structure glow and change color. For instance, the water will be represented by over 7,000 linear feet of Fiber Optic, which will spill from one tier down into the next.
